Vanessa wants you to know, "Everyone needs to know where to get an insanely delicious cupcake."

Noone asked, but I must tell because I'm bursting with delish. After a tough week who wants to go 60 blocks out of their way for a cupcake in NYC on a holiday weekend? Well, I do. I had no idea what I was headed for as I strolled down to Butter Lane, otherwise known as 7th and A.

You can miss Butter Lane if you're not looking but I encourage you to look, because you'll never look back. I have 3 dozen of the most tempting cupcakes sitting, waiting for tomorrow--Thanksgiving. I have actually only sampled one and I'm in love. It was banana cake with cream cheese frosting. It was the most amazing balance of sweet and savory. Unlike other famous NY cupcakes it wasn't SO sweet that you couldn't imagine finishing, in fact, you could imagine having another (if you weren't worried about your waistline). They do the most delicious thing of letting you sample the frosting. They have french buttercream...and you don't have to travel to France. What's sixty blocks? As you can see, I can't say enough and I've only had one. Imagine what is going to happen when I have many more tomorrow. Watch out turkey, here come the Butter Lane cupcakes. I won't keep the address from you, that would just be mean, www.butterlane.com
By the way, the staff is amazing. Go now, before the lines are forming. You'll thank me. Happy Thanksgiving, this is something to be thankful for.
